The Life History Mail Survey (LHMS) contains questions about job history, residential history, education history, and other important childhood and family events. Detailed respondent-level information for the type of employer/business and job title are now available in both the 2017 Spring LHMS Occupation and Industry and 2019 Spring LHMS Occupation and Industry restricted data files. HRS will update the 2017 Fall and 2017 Fall Supplement LHMS with detailed type of employer/business and job title in the near future.
